As a portrait photographer, it helps to be passionate about what you’re shooting. I admire the psychology and social pressures that High School Students go through today, having just released two of my own children from the nest to college. Being involved in a teen's life and getting to create a positive experience for them despite the typical tensions is ultimately why I love what I do. I know the difference just one session or one positive interaction can make in the life of a young person. I hope that every time I take a photograph and share it with someone, that their positive self image grows a little bit more and they feel more comfortable in their own skin.
I have been a fan of Morgan and her style for many years so getting to create her senior portrait session was special for me. She has a dancer's poise and grace, and a smile that brightens the days of others. My getting to give her a little special treatment and fun was very special for me. I hope that she looks back at this portrait session and knows it is my way of saying to her, "You are a gift to others and should be so very proud of the woman you have become. You got this girl, go live your best life!".
