Well, Mason, I can't believe we made it to your senior year! Despite your mom and dad having to "force" you to have portraits taken and to get a hair cut, we did it! You understand all my weird, twisted humor and I am thankful you tolerated me just long enough to create some wonderful memories. What other crazy old lady would take you into alleys with smoke bombs, right? Or tell your girlfriend all the old tales of trouble and heartbreaks?
You have always fit in over here, becoming my "other Mason". Watching you grow from a little dude in the elementary school hallway, enduring your middle school angst, and finally seeing you become a mature young man has been my honor. I am so proud of how you work hard, endure pressure, and always find the light when others do not. Some of my fondest memories will be our late night carpool chats and pancake breakfasts. I am going to bet that some of my grey hairs are because of you though?? But, I will always save my Saturdays for the boys! Thank you, Mason K, for allowing me to be part of your journey. Now, go out there and do great things!!!
