Family Fun

This fun family of four enjoyed a warm day in the forest preserve playing together while I captured some family moments.  I have watched these cute kids grow from babies to "big kids" in what seems like no time at all.  Mom was my very first "teacher friend" when I came to Illinois and taught school in Elgin almost 20 years ago.  We were both new to the same elementary school and bonded as the newbies in the building. We were full of enthusiasm and had a fresh young zest for life! Which means, we liked post work cocktails and had no other responsibilities in the world.  Years later, I admire her for staying in the toughest profession on Earth.  She and her husband continue to share their teaching gifts with students while also raising these two cute success stories!!! Here's to great teachers and friends!
